The facial program began in the mid 1980’s as a 150 hour training program. As industry demand grew and products became more complicated, the training program advanced to 300, 600 and currently 750 hours. The course can be completed in as little as 5 months. Sometimes called facialist or esthetician or aesthetician… be ready for a BEAUTIFUL career.
Phase 1 Learning the basics… mastering terminology… services that are available in most spas/salons... client safety and sanitation, developing your customers confidence, your personal appearance, and nutrition.
Phase 2 Practice, Presentation, Perfection… meeting/greeting customers... learning to set a professional “spa scene”… microderm certification... efficiency – timing your service sessions, maintaining your equipment, visiting the “field”.
Phase 3 Practice, Presentation, Perfection… getting prepared to work in the industry, brushing up on state law and industry standards…
